Ridgecrest Designs integrates architectural design into our design-build model, which means our architectural team works directly with construction from the first sketch through the final inspection.
Blackhawk is one of the most exclusive planned residential communities in Northern California — six gated neighborhoods surrounding two Blackhawk Country Club golf courses, with a median home price above $2 million and estates ranging to well over $8 million. The design standards in Blackhawk are enforced by an HOA with real authority, and every project must meet both community architectural standards and Contra Costa County permitting requirements. Working here requires a firm accustomed to operating at the top of the market.
We specialize in complex residential projects: hillside lots requiring geotechnical analysis, additions that need structural reinforcement of existing foundations, whole-home designs that must comply with California energy codes, and projects in communities with design review requirements — including HOA architectural review processes common throughout the East Bay.

Architectural services at Ridgecrest Designs are integrated into our design-build projects. We do not sell standalone architectural drawings for projects managed by other contractors. Our architecture is inseparable from our construction process — that integration is what makes it work.

California residential code is detailed and changes regularly. We track Title 24 energy requirements, seismic zone requirements, accessibility standards, and local zoning rules — and design for compliance from the start.
