This Privacy Policy describes what information Ridgecrest Designs collects through this website, how that information is used, and the choices you have regarding it. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you actively provide it through one of two forms on this site:

• Contact form — name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message.
• Start a Project form — name, email address, phone number, and project details. This form and the consultation booking that follows are operated by Ridgecrest Designs on our own system; the information is stored in our customer records and used only to plan and schedule your project.

We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, health data, or account credentials of any kind.

How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through our forms is used to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and provide a project estimate. Our contact form includes a "Subscribe to occasional updates" checkbox that is selected by default; unless you uncheck it before submitting, we add your email address to our newsletter list to send occasional project spotlights and East Bay remodel news. You can opt out when you submit by unchecking the box, or unsubscribe at any time using the one-click link in any newsletter email. We do not share your information with other businesses for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell it.

Contact Form Processing

When you submit our contact form, your name, email address, optional phone number, and message are sent to our own server at ridgecrestdesigns.com, stored securely in our customer-inquiry records, and emailed to our team so we can respond. We do not use any third-party form-delivery service for this form.

Advertising and Analytics

This website uses third-party advertising and analytics technologies that may collect certain browsing information to show you relevant ads on other platforms and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Specifically:

• Meta Pixel — We use a Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our site. This sends information about your visit (such as pages viewed and actions taken) to Meta, which may use it to show you ads on Facebook, Instagram, and partner sites, and to report on ad performance. Meta's use of this data is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. We also send some of this same information from our server directly to Meta (via Meta's Conversions API) to improve signal accuracy, particularly for visitors using Safari or iOS.
• Google Ads Remarketing — We use a Google Ads remarketing tag sitewide. This may place cookies on your device to recognize you on other websites and show you relevant ads. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out through Google's Ad Settings.
• Microsoft Clarity — We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site through aggregated usage metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Clarity automatically masks text and form-input content by default, and we use it only to improve the site experience — not to build advertising profiles. Microsoft's use of this data is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser sends a GPC opt-out header, we disable the Meta Pixel and Google Ads remarketing tag for your visit.

Google Fonts

This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google receives your IP address and browser information as part of the standard HTTP request. Google states that it does not use this data to build advertising profiles. See Google Fonts' privacy FAQ for details.

Cookies

This website sets a small number of first-party cookies and similar browser storage for our own analytics and attribution — for example, a short-lived cookie (about 30 days) that records which advertisement or channel referred you, and a first-party identifier used to recognize returning visitors and understand, in aggregate, how our site is used. These are first-party only; we do not use them to build advertising profiles or share them with other companies. Separately, the advertising-measurement services described above (Google Ads and Google Tag Manager) may set their own cookies according to their respective privacy policies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you the following rights:

• Right to Know — You may request a description of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purpose, and any third parties with whom it has been shared.
• Right to Delete — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of Meta Pixel and Google Ads remarketing may constitute "sharing" of browsing data for cross-context behavioral advertising under CPRA. To opt out, you may: (a) enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser — we honor this automatically; (b) use your browser's cookie settings to block third-party cookies; or (c) contact us at hello@ridgecrestdesigns.com to opt out of these services for your account.
• Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

Data Retention

Inquiries you submit through our forms are retained in our customer records and email system for as long as they are reasonably necessary for business purposes, typically up to three years. If you would like your information deleted, contact us and we will honor that request.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
