Our clients from the Pleasanton Modern Farmhouse had a detached garage that had been plastered with stucco by a previous property owner. They had a vision to remodel the garage inside and out to better fit their family's needs and to blend in with the surrounding property.
The new interior includes a bathroom, a workshop space and a traditional double carport. The exterior is re-clad with reclaimed wood on the siding and new garage doors. A metal roll up door on the backside lets fresh air into the workshop.
Traditional barn sconces flank the doors to make this structure look more like an original barn than a garage — blending seamlessly with the farmhouse character of the main property.
