In 2017, a couple with three young children came to us with a dream of a 5,000 square foot modern farmhouse home, customized for their own family. Ridgecrest began designing their home, nestled between heritage trees on a 1.4 acre plot of land in Pleasanton's Happy Valley.

The open floor plan creates an inviting home for a close-knit family. The kitchen, which is illuminated by a custom wood beam suspended fixture, opens up to an outdoor living space and pool. A pantry allows for easy clean-up after dinner parties, and acts as a second kitchen when needed. The dining room, which opens up to the backyard garden, features a wine room with authentic steel doors, reclaimed wood cladding and a ladder to reach the top-shelf wines. The craft room is the perfect place for the kids to do homework and let their creativity flourish.

Across the hall is the downstairs powder room, featuring a marble floor and custom floating vanity. On the second floor, the master bathroom is flooded with light from the full glass wall and looks out to a balcony with an outdoor shower. The girl's bathroom, painted in a soft pink, is perfect for two sisters to get ready for the day.
