Diablo is an unincorporated community within Contra Costa County, governed by deed restrictions and managed through the Diablo Country Club community association. There is no City of Diablo building department — all residential permits are issued by Contra Costa County Building Inspection. Projects affecting the exterior or structural elements may require review under Diablo's private CC&R framework before a county permit is submitted. Private road easements in Diablo may also affect access and staging during construction, which we account for in project planning.
