This small cabin, a guesthouse on the property of our Sierra Mountain Ranch House project, overlooks a gorgeous private lake. The finishes of this cabin were selected to match and complement the material choices from the main house.

Design Elements

Soft green kitchen cabinets give the space a more fun, playful look, contrasted with the rugged look of authentic reclaimed wood. Clean and simple bathrooms ensure easy maintenance for sporadic visitors. Custom metal air registers throughout were fabricated by Ridgecrest Metalworks, adding a unique and personal touch.

 

The exterior was completely refaced to match the ranch house look of the main property, while maintaining the a cabin-style A frame architecture. The exterior transformation included new custom siding and wood-trimmed windows and doors. We installed a new deck, custom metal guardrail that overlooks the lake, and a durable standing seam metal roof. To reflect the client’s vision of authenticity, we used reclaimed wood siding—finished with a Ridgecrest-exclusive custom stain.
