This Alamo kitchen began as a dated, builder-grade space — light maple cabinetry and beige walls beneath a beautiful beamed ceiling that deserved far more. Ridgecrest Designs led the design and project management, reimagining the room as a warm, organic-modern kitchen that works with the home's mid-century architecture rather than against it.
The finished space pairs sage-green cabinetry with natural white-oak wall paneling, green-stone countertops and a full-height stone backsplash, a handmade ceramic-tile range hood, and brass hardware and fixtures throughout. Copper pendants, a reeded-wood island, and vintage ceramic lighting give the room its character; the original slate floor and exposed beams ground it in the house's roots.
